Baker Group's COVID-19 Strategies

To Our Valued Business Partners:

Our heart goes out to the many people that have been or will be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our mission continues to be assessing the changing situation and taking appropriate actions to ensure the safety of our team and our community.  We are doing our best to help flatten the curve.  Here are some of the steps we have undertaken:

  • We have established a core response team to focus on this ever-changing situation.  This team will continually monitor and assess the changing guidance from authorities and recommend appropriate actions to enhance everyone’s safety.
  • We have ceased all discretionary business travel, and are screening employees returning from personal travel before they return to work.
  • We have adopted 100% daily employee health screening in the field and the office.
  • We have adopted many best practices centered on educating our people on how to protect themselves and limit the virus spread.  Here are some of the steps we have taken:
    • Implemented strict social distancing rules in our office, in our shop, on client visits, and on jobsites.
    • Eliminated non-essential meetings, and converted to virtual online meetings where possible.
    • Although we have kept our offices and fabrication facility open to serve clients, we have dramatically reduced our employee density though work from home options and staggered start times.
    • We have limited visitors to our buildings and have curtailed jobsite tours.
    • We are continually teaching and reinforcing good habits to stop the spread of germs, including partnering with our General Contractors to setup hand washing stations at all of our jobsites.
    • We have enhanced our employee communications through an employee hotline, an intranet site for all employees to access the latest information 24/7/365, and a toolkit for quick reference FAQs.

Circumstances are unique for each of our clients.  Several asked us to delay work in their facilities to minimize people interactions.  We also have clients who asked us to quickly complete improvement projects in their building, while their doors are closed to the public during this pandemic.  Whatever your situation, we are here to help you determine the best path forward and to serve your evolving needs.  We truly value your business and appreciate your trust in us every day.
