Westminster Presbyterian Church was expanding and needed an addition and upgrade of the entire facility with new HVAC and plumbing. The existing steam boiler and chiller were removed and two new high efficiency hot water boilers were installed, along with new modular chillers. Cooling was added to the parts of the building that were not previously cooled. There were seven existing air handlers that were retrofitted with new hot water heating coils. Chilled water coils were replaced on two of the units. Three new air handlers were installed to serve the addition and classroom areas that were not previously cooled.

The new air handlers are VAV systems with VFD's.   All equipment is now controlled through DDC controls with a graphics package for the owner’s ease of operation.

Due to lack of ceiling space in the building, ductwork had to be carefully coordinated and redesigned during the project in close conjunction with the engineer. Some ductwork had to be installed in the attic in order to maintain eight foot ceilings.  New restrooms were installed throughout the building.
