With an eye toward delivering exceptional service for its customers long into the future, the family-owned company invested in a new corporate headquarters along Interstate 35 just north of Interstate 80 in the Des Moines metro area. The state-of-the-art facility embodies progress and prosperity.

Housby's new facility is centered on a vision for continued growth, employee comfort and efficient operations. Baker Group has long served as a maintenance partner of Housby, and was a perfect fit for the expansion, delivering expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automation services.

Specifically, Baker Group provided expertise focused on optimizing efficiency and enhancing employee comfort, including the design and installation of a vast network of radiant floor heating, state-of-the-art BAS control systems, and more.

Throughout the project, Baker Group employed advanced technology to ensure the project moved along at a rapid pace. Detailing and 3D modeling tools allowed the entire team on the jobsite to expedite the construction and installation processes. It also allowed for tight coordination among different trades from different contractors on the job. The use of these tools also helped avoid any major mishaps.

Specifically, the radiant flooring piece showcased the diverse capabilities of Baker Group. In total, approximately 12 miles of tubing was installed under the shop floor and in high traffic areas outside the building. The radiant floor, coupled with advanced HVAC systems and BAS controls, delivers employee comfort, energy efficiency and a makes the new facility a model of operational effectiveness.
