Baker Group was asked by a member of the Fortune 500, with over 14,800 employees worldwide, to help modernize and renovate over 1.2 million square feet of office space in downtown Des Moines, IA.

Baker Group’s project team worked closely with the Owner to provide a comprehensive design that focuses on their needs and worked closely with all trades to schedule construction to minimize disruption of the owner’s staff throughout the project.

The renovation included multiple buildings with original construction ranging from 1939 to 1995.   Original architectural nuances were preserved while integrating new HVAC and Mechanical systems. The renovation also included enhancement of travel routes through the buildings and skywalks to increase employee productivity and improve space utilization.
