Why did you pick Baker Group?
I picked Baker Group because of the people here and the culture. My last two summers I have been doing labor for a bridge crew, and I wanted to experience what vertical construction was like. I met some guys from Baker Group at my career fair, and I was really interested. After I did my interview, I was sold.

What are you looking forward to most about your internship?
I am looking forward to trying new things and meeting new people.

What do you hope to get out of your summer internship with Baker Group?
I hope to get a new set of skills that I can take with me back to school and into the rest of my career.

I like to set my goals high. One day I am hoping to become the COO of a construction company.

A couple weeks ago I went down to Kansas City for my friend’s bachelor party.

I would say my favorite place I have traveled to would be Breckenridge, Colorado. While I was there, I did a lot of hiking and whitewater rafting. I really like being outdoors.

How would your friends describe you?
They would describe me and fun, energetic and overconfident. I like to try everything even if there is a possibility for failure, and most of them see that as overconfidence.

My end goal is to work in controls, specifically the electrical side of controls and automation. I find this side of electrical engineering fascinating. I love to problem solve and improve various products.

When I have a free weekend, I love to go to the lake and go boating. I grew up boating, tubing and skiing. I enjoy challenging myself to learn new tasks. Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to? Why?
I would have to say my favorite place I have traveled is Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. My family and I drove to Myrtle Beach a couple of years ago for a vacation. It was a very long road trip, but we made stops in many tourist places, which made the drive go a lot faster. I also enjoy warm weather and hanging out on a beach.
